    • FOUND: scanned vehicle with factory compatible scan tool and retrieved diagnostic trouble code P0420 – catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1. Viewed freeze frame data and drove vehicle while monitoring live data on a scan tool. Noticed fuel trims were within normal operating parameters. Air fuel ratio sensor is operating normally. Viewed rear oxygen sensor data and noticed it fluctuated between 150 mV and 750 mV at cruising speed and light throttle indicating the reduction bed of the catalyst is worn. At idle the rear oxygen sensor was biased lean indicating diminished oxygen storage capacity. recommend replacing the three was catalyst and re evaluating.
